The second edition of the LPGA 2026 Riviera Maya Open at Mayakoba will begin on April 27
- Gaby López, Isabella Fierro and María Fassi are the first confirmed players for the 2026 Riviera Maya Open at Mayakoba.

Mexico, December 9, 2025 – Following the successful return of the LPGA to Mexico this year, the second edition of the 2026 Riviera Maya Open at Mayakoba has been confirmed.
The tournament will once again welcome some of the world’s best golfers and will feature a 144-player field competing over 72 holes across four days, with a $2.5 million prize purse.
The event, which received outstanding reviews from players who participated this season, will take place April 27 to May 3, 2026, at El Camaleón Golf Course in Mayakoba, located in the state of Quintana Roo.
This announcement marks an exciting moment for women’s golf and continues a partnership that has strengthened the sport and its development in Mexico.
Mayakoba and El Camaleón have played a pioneering role in the growth of golf in the country, building a 16-year legacy as hosts of the PGA TOUR, as well as events such as the LPGA (2025), LIV Golf, AJGA, and LACC.
For the 2026 edition, at least three Mexican players are confirmed — the nation’s top LPGA athletes from recent seasons: Gaby López, Isabella Fierro, and María Fassi.Gaby López is currently ranked No. 58 in the LPGA world rankings.
This season she recorded five top-10 finishes in 23 starts, with her best result being fourth place at the HSBC Women’s Championship in Singapore.Isabella Fierro will return next year to the LPGA Tour after a strong campaign on the Epson Tour, where she collected six top-10 finishes in 19 tournaments. In 2024, during her first LPGA season, she was named Rookie of the Year.
María Fassi competed in 11 Epson Tour events in 2025, making six cuts and achieving a season-best fifth place at the Casella Golf Championship in Guilderland, New York. At Mayakoba, Fassi delivered a solid performance, finishing inside the top 50.

It is worth noting that Japan’s Chisato Iwai won the inaugural edition with a formidable performance, finishing ahead of the United States’ Jenny Bae and Korea’s Haeji Kang, who completed the podium in second and third place.
