Jesse & Joy bring down the curtain
Mayakoba, Quintana Roo, May 25, 2025 – The last day of activities at the MEXICO Riviera Maya Open at Mayakoba did not disappoint. Hours after the victory of Japan’s Chisato Iwai, Jesse & Joy’s concert was the ideal culmination.
With a tour of their best known songs, as well as the premiere of a new tune, the pop duet delighted the audience, who stoically endured the intense heat to sing along with the Huerta brothers.
“Esto es lo que soy” opened the recital, which had moments of nostalgia, romanticism and spite.
After performing “Tanto”, Joy invited the audience to sing and dance to the rhythm of her melodies.
At the sound of “Me quiero enamorar” the audience was thrilled, but the chorus was unison in “La de la mala suerte”, captivating especially the younger audience. Some even displayed banners expressing their love for the singers.
The repertoire included other hits such as “Con quién se queda el perro”. The fans expressed their admiration for their idols with shouts and applause, the ones closest to the stage trying to get their attention anyway.
“Un besito más” brought the nostalgic moment, a tune dedicated to his father, in which Jesse invited those who have lost a loved one to share the sentiment.
“Adiós” Goodbye“, ”You came“, ”You let me go“, ”I don’t want to anymore“, ‘Crying’, ”Echoes of love“, ”Sidereal space” were among the most applauded and chanted songs.
This was how the curtain came down on the event that marked the return of the LPGA to Mexico, which in addition to a sporting event offers entertainment experiences outside the field.
