Competitors from 31 countries at the MEXICO Riviera Maya Open at Mayakoba

Mayakoba, Quintana Roo, May 23, 2025 – The MEXICO Riviera Maya Open at Mayakoba brings together the world’s best golfers this week at the El Camaleón course.

The tournament’s field, which distributes a purse of 2.5 million dollars, includes players from 31 countries, with the United States leading the field with 39 representatives, including Brianna Do, who was the revelation of the first day, placing among the leaders.

South Korea is next, with 14 players, and China, with 11 representatives. Mexico is in fourth place, with eight participants: Gaby Lopez, Isabella Fierro, Maria Fassi, Maria Balcazar, Andrea Ostos, Clarisa Temelo, Carolina Rotzinger and Fernanda Lira. Australia also has eight players in the tournament.

There are also seven competitors from Germany, six from Thailand and five each from Japan and Sweden.

As for the Latin participation, Ecuador, Paraguay and Puerto Rico are present with one player each. Among other countries with only one representative are Finland, Slovenia, India, Scotland, South Africa, Italy and Norway.

The MEXICO Riviera Maya Open at Mayakoba marked the return of the LPGA to our country after an eight-year absence, offering players the opportunity to get to know a world-renowned venue, such as the El Camaleón course, and to experience the difficulties offered by this layout.
