Gente de Zona brings the party to the golf course

Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo, May 1, 2026.– As the sun went down, the stage lights took over, illuminating the commercial area of the Riviera Maya Open at Mayakoba, where Gente de Zona delivered a vibrant live performance.

A DJ kicked things off, setting the tone before the Cuban duo—Alexander Delgado and Randy Malcolm—hit the stage and got the crowd dancing with their signature Latin rhythms.

Without much introduction, after a brief salsa intro, they launched into one of their biggest hits, popularized alongside Enrique Iglesias. With Bailando, the energy soared, as the audience sang along and couples moved together to the rhythm.

The duo thanked the organizers for the opportunity to perform at such an important sporting event.

The unmistakable movement and flavor of Latin music filled the stage during their tribute to Celia Cruz, “La Guarachera de Cuba,” whose image appeared on the screen as they performed a song honoring the Queen of Salsa, blending in elements of her iconic style.

Other hits like Muchacha, Si no vuelves, and Como un niño kept the crowd engaged—the latter even featuring an a cappella moment that highlighted the duo’s vocal connection with the audience.

With Háblame de Miami, fans joined in singing the chorus, turning the concert into a shared celebration. Then came Más Macarena, encouraging even the shyest attendees—and plenty of kids—to follow along with the famous choreography.

The night closed with their global anthem, La Gozadera, putting a festive stamp on the second edition of the LPGA’s only tournament in Latin America.

It was a performance full of rhythm, energy, and flavor—reminding everyone that Latin countries share a deep connection through joy, music, and the love of celebration.
