Volunteering offers a unique opportunity to gain behind the-scenes insight into the operations of a professional golf tournament while enjoying a close-up view of the action.

These events require extensive coordination, and their success is made possible through the dedication of passionate volunteers.

Every year, hundreds of individuals contribute their time and effort to essential roles, such as marshaling, scoring, transportation, and hospitality services, playing a crucial part in delivering an exceptional experience for players and spectators alike.

Available Volunteer Roles

Below are descriptions of the volunteer committees for the tournament. While we strive to accommodate your preferences, specific openings are subject to availability. Review the details before making your selection:

1 Admissions/Will Call:
Distribute pre-purchased tournament credentials to the appropriate recipient, scan tickets, and sell tickets on-site. Volunteers in this committee will also serve as greeters/ambassadors for the tournament as spectators enter the event and will be asked to hand out pairings sheets.

2 Communications & Scoring Control:
The Committee is essential in the scoring of the tournament with the use of radio communication and computers. Will also manage radio distribution.

3 Gallery Control:
Provide ball spotting to players and control the movement and conversations of spectators; on-course active position. Also, the committee is responsible for handling the movement of the players during an evacuation.

4 Media Services:
Assist in the operations of the media center. Responsibilities include registering the media, answering questions, assisting with interviews, and distributing information and scores.

5 Merchandise:
Cashiers, cashier assistants, greeters, and assistance with stocking and replenishment.

6 On-Course Services:
Replenish water, ice, printed material, and other products at various locations throughout the course. May be asked to place and collect coolers before and after the tournament.

7 Partner Hosts and Access Control:
Check spectators for proper credentials and grant access to the designated areas.

8 Practice Area & Caddies:
The volunteers will be responsible for caddie registration, caddie bib distribution/pick-up, and providing general services for the LPGA Tour caddies during the event. Responsibilities also include managing and maintaining the practice area, including the driving range and putting green. Volunteers will work with security personnel to exercise gallery control and range. This committee can be combined or separated.

9 Pro-Am & Special Events:
Responsibilities include amateur registration, assembling and distributing gift packs, assisting with pro am, preparing tournament materials, and distributing prizes.

10 Professional Services:
Responsibilities include professional registration including preparing player packets. Also, support professional services including locker rooms and lodging support.

11 Scoreboards:
Manage and operate all manual scoreboards. 12 Scoring Tents: Collect scorecards, check addition, and make sure players turn in their cards.

13 Shuttles and Carts:
Facilitate the distribution of golf carts and transport players and volunteers on the course in designated areas. Pick up/drop off ADA spectators at designated areas on course/parking lots.

14 Standard Bearers:
Carry a sign inside the ropes during play and display players’ scores. Volunteers must be able to walk all 18 holes on the golf course.

15 Tournament Office:
Assist with general office duties and errands. Before and during the tournament, volunteers will work alongside tournament staff on general administration duties such as organizing supply boxes for tournament staff and volunteer chairs. Volunteers will also answer tournament phones to answer spectator questions, sell tickets, and give tournament information. Oversees management of volunteer resources and lost and found items.

16 Transportation:
Manage tournament cars and transport players and tournament guests from the airport to the designated hotel or course. Drivers are also needed before and after the event to collect and return cars. Volunteers will distribute, deploy, check, maintain, and inventory the fleet of vehicles provided at the tournament.

17 TV Spotters:
The Committee works with the television production crew to monitor the tournament leaders for television broadcasts.

18 Volunteer Services:
Assist with volunteers’ check-in, manage tent services (breakfast), and support other volunteer committees as needed during the day. Volunteers will handle the production and distribution of credentials and uniforms at volunteer training. This committee will also assist volunteers who were unable to make training pick up their volunteer packs and sell additional uniform items during tournament week (Must be able to work the week before the event).

19 Walking Marshals:
Act as a roaming marshal and assist gallery control when they need more people as different groups of players come through.

20 Walking Scorers:
Responsibilities include keeping score on a handheld Palm device and reporting scores to score control by radio.
