Atlantic Beach Classic brings valuable lessons for Isabella Fierro

Although it wasn’t the week she had hoped for, Mexican golfer Isabella Fierro walked away with many lessons from her participation in the Atlantic Beach Classic in Atlantic Beach, Florida, part of the Epson Tour.

Isabella recorded rounds of 74 and 79 (+11), finishing in 69th place in the tournament, which was won by Israel’s Laetitia Beck with a total score of 205 (-8).

A difficult second round, which included two double bogeys, pushed Isabella down the leaderboard, and she was unable to make the cut.

After finishing in sixth place the previous week at the Central Florida Championship in Winter Haven, Isabella came into Atlantic Beach with high hopes. However, she posted a 74 (+3) in the first round, and entered the second round determined to move up the standings. But on a course where patience is key, the tough conditions over the first two days made that goal a challenge.

Notably, in the second round, only one player managed to shoot under par on the front nine—Laetitia Beck—who went on to win the tournament.

Despite the result, the experience offered important takeaways for Fierro, who is now focused on preparing for her next competition: the IOA Classic in Longwood, Florida, scheduled for March 14–16.
