March 2, 2025 – Yucatecan golfer Isabella Fierro kicked off the 2025 Epson Tour season with a strong performance, finishing sixth at the Central Florida Championship held at the Country Club of Winter Haven, Florida.

Isabella had a solid start to the tournament, carding a 2-under 70 in the first round and a 7-under 65 in the second. She began the third and final round tied for fourth place at 9-under par, alongside American Riley Smyth.

The 24-year-old Mexican closed the tournament with a 1-under 71 in the final round, for a total score of 206, 10-under par.

The tournament was won by Riley Smyth, who defeated Finnish player Matilda Castren on the third playoff hole after both finished with a total score of 201, 15-under par. Smyth shot a final-round 66 (-6).

Tied for third place with a total of 205 strokes (-11) were Laetitia Beck of Israel, Juliana Hung of Chinese Taipei, and France’s Agathe Laisne.

Last year’s winner of the event was Colombian Valery Plata, who defeated Slovenia’s Ana Belac in a playoff.

The second event of the 2025 Epson Tour, the Atlantic Beach Classic presented by Access Golf, will take place from March 6 to 8 in Florida. The 2025 Epson Tour marks the 45th season of the circuit and features a total prize purse of $5 million across 20 tournaments. At the end of the season, the top 15 players will earn LPGA Tour status for 2026.

Isabella Fierro will be one of the Mexican representatives at the Riviera Maya Open at Mayakoba, to be held May 22–25 in the Mexican state of Quintana Roo.

The Epson Tour has been the official qualifying tour for the LPGA since 1999. Known as the “Road to the LPGA,” the developmental tour helps rising stars reach the top level of women’s professional golf. Last season’s Epson Tour champion was American Heather Lin.

In 2002, the tour—then known as the Futures Tour—was won by Mexican legend Lorena Ochoa, who also earned Rookie of the Year honors that same season.
